The 20th edition of the BMW PGA Championship is all set to kickstart on Thursday. However, there are fun bits that happen before the event starts. For example, on Wednesday, a day before the opening round, special celebrities are welcomed on the course. These are generally surprises, that the players get on the Pro-Am day itself. Well, this year’s guest appearance was a rather loved one in the States.
Tom Holland tees off at the Wentworth Golf Club
A few hours ago the official X account of the DP World Tour posted a video of Tom Holland, appearing at the club shop of the Wentworth club, and taking his basket of bombs, and a pair of golf shoes towards the course. In the caption, they revealed, “Here we go! Tom Holland is Pro-Am ready.” Well, he did not come alone.
The Spiderman had a special guest with him – his little dog Daphne. As he moved forward into course, he first met the World No. 3, who is currently ranked No. 1 on the DP World Tour. Holland shook hands with Rory McIlroy and Ben Stokes, who just had a normal conversation with him. Later on, Spider-Man was handed his clubs by the caddie, and he practiced his swings with the two pro players.
As he moved forward Holland’s brothers Sam Holland and Harry Holland too joined him on the course. The trio met DP World Tour Pro Tommy Fleetwood and together hit a shot or two on the course. The outing for Holland does indeed seem to be a rather fun one. What are your thoughts on Spider-Man making the celebrity appearance at the 2024 BMW PGA Championship?
