Nelly Korda’s 2024 season did begin with a bang! However, with time, it gradually started going downhill. Her lowest point being coming back to the greens after three consecutive misses, and after three appearances injuring herself.
During the practice round of the Solheim Cup, she ended up injuring her neck. This made her miss important events like the BMW Ladies Championship and the Maybank Championship. However, she is finally back.

Nelly Korda played in Wednesday’s pro-am alongside WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark, admitted she might have “rushed” her rehab to be ready for this week’s event. A two-time winner of The Annika Driven by Gainbridge, she was eager to return to Pelican Golf Club and compete in front of what felt like a home crowd.
She managed to score 66 through both the rounds, and is currently at the second position on the leaderboard, just two strokes behind Charley Hull. At the presser, she shared her experience about her new endeavour. She became one of the few athletes to be featured on the swimsuit edition of SI Sports.
“I think that’s what’s great about these opportunities is that you do get to step outside your comfort zone and do something different. I was just really excited for the opportunity to do this. I mean, it was so cool. The whole crew was amazing. By the end of day, I was having so much fun with them, she said.
In the initial days, Korda used to be absolutely shy and introverted. Even when she made her first appearance at the Solheim Cup, she was scared of cameras. And now, she has taken on to some bold steps which makes a lot of people around proud of her.

“MJ Day, the editor, she was so amazing,” said Korda. “The whole crew was so amazing. I was very shy at first. I’m not used to doing anything like that; so outside my comfort zone.”
