Nelly Korda Adorns Top in The List of Highest Paid Female Golfers

If there is one player who has had a 2024 season as exceptional as Scottie Scheffler, it would be Nelly Korda. She has managed to bag a total of seven wins just the like PGA Tour Pro, and both have remained on top of the world’s best golfer’s list for the entire season.

But well, that is not all. This year has taken her up to a staggering earning level which has made her bank the top 15 list of the highest paid golfers. According to the report updated by Sportico, Nelly Korda has managed to take home a whopping $4.4 million just in one year.

The 2024 Grant Thornton Invitational still remains which will only add up to her money list. Well, she is not the only one. With two wins on the LPGA Tour season, Jeeno Thitikul, and with a gold Olympic medal and being inducted into the Hall of Fame, Lydia Ko are also on the list.

Golf Digest took to their official X account and shared the report. They wrote, “Nelly Korda, Lydia Ko, and Jeeno Thitikul are among the 15 highest-paid female athletes for 2024!” 

Nelly Korda’s 2024 season victories

Nelly Korda ranks eight, with just a $5 million away from Coco Gauff, who tops the list. But how did she make such a high stake money? With her illustrated victories this season. Let’s revisit them.

The Rolex No. 1 player started her season with not a very high note. She played at the Hilton Grand Vacatoons Tournament of Champions, and finished with a T16, and had scored a disappointing 2-under. However, her game accelerated and there was no stopping for the next four months.

A week later a she won the LPGA Drive On Championship with an 11-under, taking home $262,500. This led to back to back wins role The Chevron Championship in April. In between she won the FIR HILLS SERI PAK Championship, Ford Championship presented by KCC, and the T-Mobile Match Play.

This series earned her a whopping $24,00,000, and well it was just the beginning. After finishing at T7 at the Cognizant Founders Cup, Nelly Korda went on to win another Major event in May at the Mizuho Americas Open. She scored an impressive 14-under and took home $450,000.

However, things did not work out very well for her after that, as she went on missing three cuts consecutively. This included an Major US Women’s Open. She also went into hibernation as she ended up injuring her neck during a practice at the Solheim Cup. But before that, she came very close to another win at the AIG Women’s Open in August where she finished at a T2.

Finally eleven months, and a hiatus later, Korda came scrinching back to grab her seventh and final victory of the season after six months at the ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican. This earned her $487,500. She also won the prestigious title of the Player of the Year.
