Former Tiger Woods TGR Winner Dylan Brack Qualifies for First PGA Tour Event at Age 18

Dylan Brack is almost close to getting the things he truly wants. First, to impress his childhood idol, Tiger Woods, and second to be able to grab a spot on the PGA Tour. The 18-year-old amateur golfer from Riverside, California is set to make his debut on the Tour at the 2024 WWT Championship.

On Monday, he shot an 8-under 64 at the Palmilla Golf Club in San Jose Del Cabo to grab a spot for himself through the Monday qualifiers. Having bagged seven birdies, one bogey, and an exceptional eagle, he was leading one shot ahead of Ryan Gerard, and Zach Bauchou, who are rookie players. He’ll make his PGA Tour debut this week at El Cardonal at Diamante in Los Cabos.

Dylan Brack will play in the course designed by Tiger Woods

Well, this too has a deeper connection with his idol Tiger Woods. The course was the first course that hosted a Tour event and was designed by TGR, Tiger Woods’s architectural company. This is not the first time he made it to the headlines, and of course, shone in front of the 82X PGA Tour champion. In 2022, he bagged a win at the inaugural edition of Tiger Woods’s TGR Junior Invitational at the age of sixteen.

It was hosted at Pebble Beach, which is also regarded to be one of the most significant courses in the history of the golf world. The 18-year-old prodigy comes from the Tiger Woods Learning Lab in Anaheim, California. He made it to the headlines two years ago by winning the 2022 inaugural TGR Jr. Invitational.

After grabbing a win, he said, “No big deal, just the🐐 (GOAT) announcing your name on the first tee. No pressure at all.” Dylan Brack was trained by Wataru Watt Tomiga from April 2011 to July 2013, at the age of five. And well, ever since then, there was no looking back for him.

Dylan Brack quickly made a name for himself after joining US Kids Golf, finishing second in the Boys 6 Division at the 2012 Veritas World Junior Golf Championships at just five years old. From that point on, there was no turning back. At the age of seven, he joined the Tiger Woods Learning Lab Player Development Golf Program in California, further honing his skills.

Since 2013, Dylan has worked with renowned coach Greg Castleman, who has trained several standout players, including Guan Tianlang, Bethany Wu, Elizabeth Wang, Alexa Melton, and Angel Yin, during their junior careers. And now, he is all set to kick start his career on the Tour. What are your thoughts on him? Let us know in the comments section below!
