Brian Harman will finally make his debut at the 2024 Presidents Cup. After playing almost two decades of professional golf, he has been selected to be a part of the US team led by Jim Furyk as captain’s picks along with Keegan Bradley, Sam Burns, Tony Finau, Russell Henley, and Max Homa. He could not be any more excited to be playing against the International team.
“I expect it to be a hostile crowd against an incredibly talented team,” Harman told the Times-Union of his first venture on a Presidents Cup team. The International team is led by Mike Weir, and his team of the top-12 players from all across the globe, except for Europe and America, of course. Well, as his excitement peaked, a rather strange incident happened at the Royal Montreal Golf Club during the practice round on Tuesday.
Both the teams have arrived at the golf course, giving in their best shots, to see where they stand against each other, and if there are any possibilities of improvement. But it looks like Brian Harman’s debut was not the best start for him. Although Tony Finau was selected along with Harman, he seems to be closer to Scottie Scheffler.
Tee Times Pub recently took to their official X account and shared a post regarding the trio.According to their sources, the World No. 1 and Finau does not allow Brian Harman to sit with them. “Spoke with a veteran #PresidentsCup insider and he says the US locker room is FRACTURED,” was what they captioned the post. He was forced to sit outside because Scheffler and Finau told him he was too short and hit the ball from the wrong side of the ball.
The sources and credibility on this are yet to be revealed, and there has been no statement from Brian Harman yet.
