2024 has been the year of Scottie Scheffler. What a roller coaster ride he has been on. From becoming a dad to grabbing a spot in the elite group of being on top for over 100 weeks with Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, and others. Apart from beating several records, let us not forget that the World’s No. 1 has clinched a victory in seven of the nineteen tournaments that he has taken part in.
That ought to have bagged him a lot of prestige and of course money. Here’s how much the American professional has made through the season.
Scottie Scheffler bagged almost $65 million officially
Despite not being able to bag a lead at the FedEx St. Jude Championship and the BMW Championship, on Sunday Scheffler bagged a dominating win defeating Collin Morikawa, and became the Player of the Year. Alongside, he also bagged a whopping $25 million bonus money. This resulted in his career earnings for the year to a gross of $62,228,357!
Most of it was earned through tournaments. However, he bagged a lesser rank in two of the events that he appeared in, and those too added to some portion of his earnings. This also includes the $8 million that he earned through the Comcast Business Tour top-10. He earned the highest for being on the top of the FedEx Cup standings at the end of the season. He won a total of seven events this year, which includes the Olympic Gold Medal in Paris. In the six PGA Tour wins outside the Olympics and Tour Championship, Scheffler earned $23.3 million:
- Arnold Palmer Invitational: $4 million
- The Players Championship: $4.5 million
- The Masters: $3.6 million
- RBC Heritage: $3.6 million
- the Memorial Tournament: $4 million
- Travelers Championship: $3.6 million
Apart from the top finishes, the American professional has managed to bag 17 top-25 finishes out of all the events he has participated in and has not missed the cut in any of them. Which means, he has earned a certain amount of money from each one of the tournaments that he opened. Apart from the wins, Scheffler earned close to $6 million, which brought his tournament total to a gross of $29,228,357.
