After a grueling 2024 season, the top golfers have reached Atlanta for the final leg. The Tour Championship, which will be the deciding factor for the PGA Tour Player of the Year has begun on August 29 and will go on till Sunday. The top-30 players, with Scottie Scheffler on the lead of the standings, and Xander Schauffele following him are vying for the ultimate win at the East Lake.
Two rounds have already concluded and only 36 holes remain until the conclusion of the present season. It is a time for celebration for the golf fans. They will be seeing the battle of the greatest battles on the course. If you have already bought tickets for the event, you are in for a delightful weekend indeed. And if not, better luck next time!
1. SO Cool Zone lunch
The SO Cool Zone is located close to the 14th and 15th greens, presented by the Southern Company. This is a rather refreshing area during the warm heat with shade sails, comfortable lounger furniture, and the best part – the cooling misters which will keep you hydrated while you enjoy the action on the big screen. The best of the lot is of course the Titos vodka which is an absolute fan favorite of every golf fan that is regular at the Tour Championship. Do not miss it if you get the opportunity to visit the SO cool zone. You can have a delightful lunch from a local food joint set up. They have the Fox Bros, Bar-B-Q, Universal Joint, and Henri’s Bakery, which are some of the local favorites. You will find the best burgers and wraps, and of course, food items to satiate your sweet tooth thereafter.
2. The Signature Joel Dahmen Juicy Lie
The signature drink of the PGA Tour rising star Joel Dahmen Juicy Lie has now become a fan favorite in the golf world. Thanks to Bushmills Irish Whiskey, which is the official whiskey of the PGAT, it has been made tremendously popular. It is the perfect blend of Bushmills whiskey, grapefruit soda, a dash of lime, and just the perfect amount of pineapple juice to give it the taste! The East Lake is the only place where one can grab a drink. It is available by the landing on the 16th. “Walking down the fairway and someone yells at me, ‘Hey, I’m having a Joel’s Juicy Lie,’ and you got the bucket hat stir stick on there, it’s just really cool,” he said in one of his interviews. While Dahmen could not make a name through his matches, he is glad to be of significance off the course at least.
3. Coca Cola Float
Just like one of the favorite beverages – the McFloat, Coca-Cola has come up with the Coca-Cola Float for the spectators on the Tour Championship. A scoop of ice-cold vanilla ice cream is added into a glass half filled with Coca-Cola. Later on, a generous amount of cream is added to make it all the more delicious, with a cherry on top, quite literally! Enjoy the drink at the Coca-Cola cafe in the 16th fairway.
