The first October event of the Ladies Professional Golf Association is finally over. The final round concluded on Sunday after a whirlwind of events through the four days. Ruoning Yin topped the LPGA Tour leaderboard this week with a win at Qizhong Garden Golf Club in Shanghai, China. This marks the fourth win in her entire Tour Career. She began with a 63 on Saturday and ended with a 64 on Sunday, after making the cut at the event.
Yin bagged a total of 25-under 263, and won by a whopping six shot lead. Sei Young Kim and Mao Saigo ended with the T2 position having bagged a 20-under. On the other hand it was Yealimi Noh who finished with a solo fourth position. Yin managed to take home a whopping $315,000 after her victory in China last week. Additionally she also earned a total of 500 points in the Race to the CME Globe. This has grabbed her a step closer to play at the Tour Championship in November with the top 60 players. The final event will decide who was the ultimate player of the 2024 season. It is pretty much the same as the FedEx Cup Playoffs, and remains the ultimate goal of every player on the LPGA Tour. This week, there was not a 36-hole cut with 81 players finishing the tournament in the latest tournament of the season.
The 2024 LPGA Tour schedule continues next week with the 2024 BMW Ladies Championship. Stay tuned as the golf game gets all the more intense.
