Everything You Need To Know About the 2024 Hero World Challenge: How to Watch

The much awaited 2024 Hero World Challenge is all set to begin in just a few hours. Unlike the other PGA Tour events, this has only 20 players, and that too from the cream layer as part of the field. From No. 1 player Scottie Scheffler to 2023 turned pro Nick Dunlap, the field is going to be exciting indeed.

They will all be competing for a $5 million purse at the Albany in Bahamas. There have been several complaints about the field not being as lucrative as it used to be. Tiger Woods was set to compete in the limited-field Hero World Challenge but has withdrawn due to ongoing injury issues.

However, he will still host the event, which features top players from around the world. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler headlines the field. Scheffler, who hasn’t played since winning the Tour Championship and FedEx Cup in early September, will defend his title after triumphing at Albany last year, defeating Austria’s Sepp Straka.

Hero World Challenge: Dates and Viewing Info

The tournament begins on Thursday, December 5, and runs through Sunday, December 8. Play will start daily at 3:45 pm UK time. The event will take place at Albany Golf Course in the Bahamas, a par-72 course measuring 7,414 yards. Sky Sports Golf will broadcast the action each day.

Sky Go customers can stream the event live on their laptops and mobile devices. Alternatively, fans can purchase a NOW TV membership, with one-day passes available for £11.98 or a monthly subscription for £34.99. For live updates throughout the event, talkSPORT will provide coverage.

Hero World Challenge: Field and tee times

This is an invite-only event and there is a limited field of just 20 players. It includes four of the top 10 players in the men’s game including defending champion Scheffler. Scotland’s Robert MacIntyre and England’s Aaron Rai will be in action but, as mentioned, Woods will miss out through injury.
